NEW YORK CITY-Janette Sadik-Kahn, commissionerof the New York City Department of Transportation, and cityplanning czar Amanda Burden are reportedlydiscussing establishing their own urban planning policy instituteafter the administration leaves office.

The pair could decide to establish the institute on its own oras part of the Bloomberg foundation, a report in Crain's New YorkBusiness stated. A source told the newspaper that Kahn and Burdenwere considering launching a global consulting firm.

"Those two have traveled together on their own time," a formeradministration official told the newspaper. "They've done theurban-planning grand tour."
