BROOKFIELD, WI-An independent subsidiary of CargillInc. of Minneapolis will own 80% of The Corners ofBrookfield mixed-use project here.

CarVal Investors' stake in the project was revealed at a publicmeeting in Brookfield on Wednesday night, according to theMilwaukee Business Journal. M&J Wilkow Ltd., aChicago real estate firm, will own 10% and be responsible orday-to-day management of the center once its in operation. Theremaining 10% will be owned by Milwaukee-based MarcusCorp., which is developing the project.

The $125-million project will feature 240,000 square feet ofretail and restaurant space, 150 apartments, and a140,000-square-foot Von Maur department store. The project is to belocated at West Blue Mound Road at a site that includes a vacantMarcus movie theater and a vacant Menards. See story in theMilwaukee Business Journal.
