SOUTHFIELD, MI-Talks are in the final stages to have auto supplycompany Federal Mogul Corp. relocate approximately700 workers at its headquarters here to smaller quarters inFarmington Hills.
A real estate source tells Crain's Detroit Business that thecompany is intending to relocate its operations to approximately180,000 square feet of space in the Arboretum Office Complex inFarmington Hills.
Federal Mogul is currently the sole tenant in a360,000-square-foot, four-building complex on the corner of LahserRoad and Northwestern Highway. However, the firm only requires halfthat space due to a reduction in employees over the past severalyears, says Jim Burke, Federal-Mogul's director ofcorporate communications.
