Conor Breaks Ground on Deerfield MF

CHICAGO—The Village of Deerfield is undergoing a bit of a multifamily building boom. The co-development team of Conor Commercial Real Estate, a national real estate development firm and a member of The McShane Companies, and Ravine Park Partners, just broke ground on the Woodview Apartments, a 248-unit luxury apartment development. And last month, GlobeSt.com reported that AMLI Residential had just received final approval from the village to build AMLI Deerfield, a luxury residential apartment community. That company expects to break ground in December and complete their 240-unit project by mid-2015.

The Conor and RPP development team will begin tenant occupancy on their project in the first quarter of 2015 and complete the remaining portions of the complex in summer 2015. The companies’ officials say they will use thoughtful architectural and landscape design to integrate the four-story, 432,000-square-foot development into the surrounding neighborhood by emphasizing pedestrian views and open spaces. For example, the development will have a central core with a ‘wrap’ design, concealing a parking deck for 422 vehicles and increasing the property’s visual appeal.
