LOS ANGELES—CoreNet Global's SouthernCalifornia chapter has named its 2014-2015 board of directors.Kelly Reenders, agency administrator of economicdevelopment for San Bernardino County, will serve as chair of theboard and David Callahan, who recently was hired as SVP of Avison Young, will serveas president of the board. They will serve alongside 21 other realestate professionals throughout Southern California who have beenappointed to the board.

“Supporting the corporate real estate functionas well as building our base in Southern California remains centralto our focus this year,” says Reenders. “We're committed to being asource of education, networking and career advancement for ourindustry. We have a full slate of educational programs critical toadvancing the business goals of our members and we're working tobring together resources to tackle issues impacting today'sworkplace.” The chapter will specifically be focused on providingeducation and peer-to-peer networking to itsmembers. The SoCal chapter is the CoreNet's third largestchapter.

CoreNet has a total of 400 members in the Southern Californiaregion. For the unfamiliar, the group is dedicated to advancingreal estate knowledge and connecting professionals. “CoreNet willcontinue to provide a forum in which corporate real estateprofessionals are encouraged to share ideas, experiences and bestpractices with their peers,” Callahan says. “As an organization, weare always searching for new ways to deliver value to ourmembers. This year, we've added several strong corporate realestate executives to our board. Their input, based upon realworld experiences, will prove valuable in shaping the direction ofthe chapter.” The chapter will hold several events this year,including a golf tournament on May 29 at the Resort atPelican Hill and the REmmy Awards andCharity Gala in Downtown Los Angeles.
