PHILADELPHIA—HFF has simultaneously expanded its Philadelphiaoffice and national self storage group with the hiring of RichardSchontz, who has joined the firm as a managing director. Schontz will focus on self-storage investment sales transactionsnationwide and will be a member of the national group covering thatsector.
Schontz joins HFF from Marcus & Millichap, where he was asenior associate and director within MMI's National Self StorageGroup. In this capacity, he closed more than two millionsquare feet of self-storage transactions in nine states, and wasranked in the firm's top three agents for both the self storagegroup and the Philadelphia office. Schontz is a member of thePennsylvania Self Storage Association and the National Self-StorageAssociation.
