WASHINGTON, DC—Lovers of Krispy Kreme in the DCregion may have shorter drives in the years to come to visit theirfavorite doughnut and coffee shop.
Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corp. of Winston-Salem, NC has signed anagreement with Richmond, VA-based franchise operatorMonument Restaurants to develop 20 new KrispyKreme locations in the DC region over the next several years,according to the Washington Business Journal.
Although the parties did not divulge specific store locations,the new shops will be located in Southern Maryland, D.C., NorthernVirginia and nearby counties. Krispy Kreme currently has stores inDupont Circle, Rockville, MD and Alexandria, VA.
