HOUSTON--Transwestern is helping to launch a new-to-Houston restaurant.

The firm represented The Halal Guys in a new retail lease totaling approximately 1,483 square feet to accommodate its growing business located at 3821 Farnham St. in Houston.

Chris Reyes, broker associate, and Danielle Schidlowski, associate, who serve as exclusive advisors for The Halal Guys in the Houston market, represented the retailer in the transactions.

"We are extremely excited to bring Halal to Houston," Reyes told GlobeSt.com. "Their unique style and flair will be a perfect fit within Houston's bustling restaurant culture."

Created in 1990 as a street cart, New York City's world-famous The Halal Guys are known for chicken and gyro meat platters served over rice and topped with a special sauce. Home of "The Never Ending Line," The Halal Guys swiftly became the city's most successful street food vendor and are currently opening restaurants across the country.

The Halal Guys plan to open several stores in the Houston market over the next few years.
