El Camp The 55,000 square foot space accommodates more than two-dozen firms.

LOS ANGELES—Creative office may only be the first evolution of the new-world office market. El Camp is the latest example. It is a co-working space from advertising agency Ignited that caters to creative marketing firms, providing amenities, like production and recording studios and in-house edit bays. There is no physical barrier between companies, making the space flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of its tenants.

“This project typifies the future trend in commercial real estate. We are seeing a shift away from large corporate, closed, and costly environments and toward creative residential and social hubs like El Camp,” Robert Cavaiola, corporate managing director at Savills Studley, tells GlobeSt.com. “With millennials becoming a driving force in today’s workplace, their ability to work just as easily from a mobile device in a coffee shop as a desktop in an office, is helping facilitate this shift.”
