MOB Spring Creek Center provides access to the major east/west thoroughfares.
PLANO, TX—Demand for medical office has a project in fast-track mode. The Spring Creek Center medical office building has broken ground, with the project consisting of site work and shell construction of a two-story 48,000-square-foot multi-tenant facility. The medical office building is scheduled for completion in October 2016, according to MYCON General Contractors . The project team includes owner/developer Haggard Property Group , owner’s representative Bjerke Management Solutions , project architect O’Brien Architects and general contractor MYCON General Contractors. “This class-A MOB project is being fast-tracked and is leasing up as we build it,” says John Riggins , MYCON’s vice president of office and industrial. “We have a great team, having worked together for other clients, and our healthcare construction experience and lean construction processes will enable us to deliver a quality project on time and as budgeted.” The project is located near the southwest corner of Spring Creek Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway, in Far North Dallas’ West Plano Platinum Corridor. Boasting excellent ingress and egress via the Dallas North Tollway, Spring Creek Center will reside along Spring Creek Parkway, allowing tenants the capability of reaching a wealth of amenities offered in the area. It will also provide excellent access to the major east/west thoroughfares serving the executive neighborhoods of north Plano and the exploding Frisco, TX area to the north. Riggins tells GlobeSt.com: “With the population growth in the North Texas region, being able to fast-track commercial projects is ‘must’ for general contractors. Our experience and project teams enable us to meet owner/developer’s budgets and timelines.” The building will be only 28 minutes from the DFW International Airport and 25 minutes from Love Field Airport. Approximately 2 miles to the north and south, sit two super-regional malls in the DFW area, Stonebriar Mall and Willowbend Mall. The Shops of Legacy , located just north of the site, is a lifestyle development offering upscale dining and shopping, superior multifamily product and other entertainment venues. According to Bill Rudd , vice president of Haggard Property Group Ltd., “Toby Haggard and I believe the time is right to introduce a state-of-the-art medical office building, such as Spring Creek Center MOB, to the booming West Plano market. Pre-leasing continues to build momentum with three medical practices already under lease and several others in the works.”
