STAMFORD, CT—Kevin McCarthy has joined Cushman & Wakefield’s Fairfield/Westchester office brokerage group as senior director, GlobeSt.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY. He previously was first VP in CBRE’s Westchester/Fairfield office.

Now located in Cushman’s office here, McCarthy has over a decade of experience in commercial real estate, assisting his clients in lease negotiations, property sales and multi-market strategic real estate portfolio management. While the majority of his work focuses in Fairfield and Westchester counties, he has completed a number of transactions around the world.

McCarthy’s brother, Michael McCarthy, works out of Cushman & Wakefield’s White Plains office as an associate director. Their father, John McCarthy, an accomplished veteran of the industry, with over 40 years of experience, has been a key figure in the real estate community in Fairfield/Westchester region too.

Kevin McCarthy has been involved in several significant transactions throughout his career, including representing IBM in the sale of the 620,000 square foot office complex at 1133 Westchester Ave. in White Plains, NY; Goldman Sachs in the 125,000 square foot lease transaction in Greenwich, CT, and 30 Glenn Street Associates in the sale of the 85,000 square foot office building to the Metropolitan Transit Authority at 525 North Broadway in White Plains.

Additionally, he served as the exclusive real estate advisor for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, headquartered in Rye Brook NY, with over 75 offices in North America, as well as Nexant, a San Francicso-based energy innovation company with over 35 locations globally.

McCarthy, a graduate of Villanova University, is a lifelong resident of White Plains, NY. He is the founding member of the Westchester County Association’s Young Professionals organization, with a membership of more than 650 members. He is on the boards of the Fairfield Business Council’s Young Professionals Network, the Westchester County Business Sector Partnership, and Villanova Alumni Association Fairfield/Westchester Chapter.

He is a member of the Daniel M. DiLella Center for Real Estate Association at Villanova, the Westchester Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and Winged Foot Golf Club.
