The space on the 20th and 21st floors of the 23-story,425,000-sf building is currently being renovated. The HampshireCos. of Morristown, NJ purchased the property last year and hasinitiated a complete renovation of the property.


Cantor Colburn currently occupies approximately 35,000 sf ofspace at 55 Griffin Rd. South in nearby Bloomfield. Cantor Colburnwas represented by Robert Kelly, senior director with C&W'sHartford office.

Michael Cantor, co-managing partner of the firm, says that manywith his firm are involved in efforts supporting the state'seconomic development efforts. "We hope our move from the suburbs todowntown will be a help in the economic development of Connecticutgenerally and Hartford in particular."


The law firm also reports that in addition to its Connecticutoffice, the company will be opening a new location in Alexandria,VA this summer. Cantor Colburn also has offices in Detroit andAtlanta.
