Jacob Sudhoff and Judy Helm are principals of the new affiliate,Grubb & Ellis/Coastal Bend. The office will be located at 6116S. Staples St. Sudhoff has operated a residential real estatecompany for several years in the city while Helm has more than 25years as a property manager.

A Grubb & Ellis spokeswoman acknowledges Sudhoff'sbackground is residential, but adds it's not uncommon for Grubb& Ellis affiliates to have residential and development arms.She stresses to GlobeSt.com that "any relationship we'd have withthe new affiliate would be strictly commercial."

Grubb & Ellis/Coastal Bend has become the 49th affiliate inthe national firm's network. The size of the commercial team isunclear. However, the plan is to offer a full-service platform foracquisitions, dispositions, leasing, property management andconsulting services. "Affiliates are set up when Grubb & Ellisclients have needs in those markets," the spokeswoman adds.
