LONDON-The biggest hotelier in the world, InterContinentalHotels has reported a rise of 22% in its profit for the first halfof 2010. A total of $219 million was reported as operating profit.The returns were strong as the Asian markets performed well,especially China where room occupancy was high due to increasedbusiness travel.

The group also reported a rise in the revenue per available roomby 3.4% in the 1H10 and a rise of 7.4% in Q2 2010. For thefull story, go to Reuters.
