
WASHINGTON, DC-The Association of American Medical Colleges has closed a deal to purchased the Mount Vernon Triangle site from Douglas Development Corp. for nearly $57 million to build its headquarters. The association has plans to construct its 285,000-square-foot headquarters building there.
AAMC will own as well as occupy the building at 628 New York Ave. NW. Hines Interests LP has been hired to develop the building. The association will move into the new location in late spring 2014. For the full story, go to Washington Business Journal .
