NEWARK, NJ-The Hanini Group and L&MDevelopment are expected to detail plans for thelong-vacant Hahne's department store before the city's Landmarksand Historic Preservation Commission tonight.

The development team is expected to reveal plans to convert thecirca 1901 property into a mixed-use building that would includeapartments on the upper three floors and retail outlets on theground level, according to the Star Ledger.

The 440,000-square-foot building served as the flagship storefor Hahne's until its closure in 1986. Beyer BlinderBelle of New York City is the lead architect on theproject. See story in the Star Ledger.
