NEW YORK CITY-After state health officials recently rejected a restructuring plan, Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn has until Thursday to submit a revised closure plan to the State Department of Health.

New York State Department of Health Commissiioner Karen Westervelt on July 19 rejected a restructuring plan designed to save Interfaith Medical Center and directed the hospital's trustees to resubmit a modified plan to close the hospital, which is in bankruptcy.

Interfaith officials say they plan to continue pursuing options to keep the hospital open. See story in the Wall Street Journal.
