ATLANTIC CITY, NJ-Elizabeth Terenik has been named to head the agency charged with helping spark non-gaming investment in Atlantic City.

Terenik will serve as director of planning for the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority. She most recently was in charge of Terenik Land Use Planning, a consulting firm for local governments based in Middle Township, and is a former planning and engineering director for Ocean City.

Terenik joined CRDA in late July. Her appointment was announced in a news release on Monday. CRDA Executive Director John Palmieri states, "the planning function is a cornerstone of Atlantic City's future," so the hiring of Terenik was "critical" for the city's redevelopment efforts, according to NJBiz.
