TRENTON, NJ-The bankruptcy trustee of engineering firm Birdsall Engineering Group filed a federal lawsuit on Monday here seeking to recapture legal expenses paid for former employees that were indicted in connection with its illegal political contributions. Birdsall pled guilty earlier this year to making illegal campaign contributions.

Trustee Ed Stier filed suit against some of the state's top criminal attorneys, seeking the repayment of more than $500,000 that went toward the defense of former company executives who have been charged with federal crimes, according to The Record.
