NEW YORK CITY-The Kash Group intends to convertThe Williams Club into an extend stay hotel called simply: “TheWilliam.”

The building at 24 East 39th St. had been the home of the alumniclub for Williams College. The property wasacquired by the Kash Group for a little over $9 million last year.Kash is pumping in another $11 million on interior upgrades thatwill, when finished in December, create 33 rooms.

"We believe the extended stay market is under-served," saidShlomo Bakhash, president of the Kash Group. LasVegas-based Warner Hospitality will manage TheWilliam. See story in Crain's New York Business.
