PALO ALTO, CA-Simon Properties, the operator ofStanford Shopping Center, has submitted a plan tolocal officials for construction of four newbuildings to accommodate changes in its retail mix.

New construction will take place at the site of the currentBloomingdale's, after that anchor store moves tosmaller space, according to a report in the Silicon ValleyBusiness Journal.

The changes also involve a move by Fleming'srestaurant, which has already move to a newly constructed space.The Journal also notes that new tenants are expected toinclude Palo Alto Creamery and anAnthropologie shop.
