SOUTHAMPTON, NY-Renaissance Downtown of Plainview has been selected by Southampton as the master developer who will formulate a plan to revitalize the hamlet of Riverside.
The town hopes the firm that has worked on projects in Hempstead, Huntington Station and the Nassau Coliseum Hub project will turn around the fortunes of Riverside, considered one of Southampton's most blighted hamlets, according to Newsday.
"We're extremely excited," Renaissance Downtowns president and CEO Donald Monti said. "We've had our eyes on this for quite some time."
Renaissance Downtown is expected to present its redevelopment proposal at a work session on Thursday. The Southampton board unanimously approved the firm as the master developer last week, See story in Newsday.
