WLLOW GROVE, PA—A total of 10 firms from near and far haveexpressed interest in a project to redevelop more than 800 acres atthe former Naval Air Station-Joint Reserve Basehere.

The specialties of the firms that have shown interest range fromresidential to mixed-use development companies, according to thePhiladelphia Business Journal.

The companies that responded to the RFQ from the HorshamLand Redevelopment Authority included: AmericanReal Estate Development of Souderton, PA; a group thatincludes Avalon Bay Communities Inc. fromArlington, VA, Pulte Group Inc. from BloomfieldHills, MI, and Paramount Realty, of Lakewood, NJ;Catellus Development Corp. of Oakland, CA;Hankin Group from Exton, PA; LCORof Berwyn, PA; Lennar Corp. of Miami; NVRInc. of Reston, VA; O'Neil PropertiesGroup, of King of Prussia, PA; RealenProperties, of Berwyn, PA and Toll BrothersInc. of Horsham, PA

“We were hoping for three to five responses,” says TomAmes, deputy director of the Horsham Land RedevelopmentAuthority. “We got 10.”

Ames and his group will review the developers' credentials andafter interviews will create a shortlist of companies that willthen draw up plans for the 862-acre site.
