NEWARK, NJ—The former president of the New York City EconomicDevelopment Corp. spoke ill of the GardenState's amped-up tax-incentives program at a conference hereThursday - drawing quick rebuttal, ofcourse.

Seth Pinsky, who headed the organization during theadministration of Mayor Michael Bloomberg, told the gatheringat 2 Gateway Center, "I actually think it's not a good sign for ajurisdiction when the headline attraction for that jurisdiction isits tax incentives."

Speaking at the 2014 New Jersey Office Boom! conference, the nowRXR Realty LLC executive said that states andcities need to invest in infrastructure and seek to attract atalented workforce in order to remain competitive, according to areport in The Record.
