MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ—Rockefeller Group Development Corp.'s mixed-use plan to redevelop the Honeywell campus here secured a key approval late last week that will allow the developer to move forward with site plan approval.
On Thursday the Morris Township Planning Board approved a general development plan for the project that calls for the construction of 235 townhomes and 900,000 square feet of office space at the 147-acre site. The approval granted last week gives Rockefeller Group 12 years to complete the entire project, according to the Morris News Bee.
Honeywell is expected to sell the site to Rockefeller Group and K. Hovnanian Homes, which together plan to redevelop the property. The two companies announced plans to subdivide and purchase the property pending the general development approval.
The general development plan calls for 715,000 square feet to be developed by Rockefeller, and an 185,000 square-foot portion Honeywell would retain on the site. See story at NJ.com.
