LEESBURG, VA—The Peterson Co. has signed Walmart as its first tenant for its planned Crosstrail development here.
A year after securing zoning approval for the project, Peterson has submitted a site plan to Loudoun County for a 190,000-square-foot Walmart location on a site between the Leesburg Executive Airport and the Dulles Greenway, according to the Washington Business Journal.
The Walmart store, which is the size of its Supercenter locations, will be located on Hawling Farm Boulevard on a portion of the 58-acres Peterson had rezoned for up to 550,000 square feet of retail and 100,000 square feet of office space.
The Crosstrail project at full build-out will total 2.5 million square feet of office and 300,000 square feet of flex industrial space on more than 450 acres. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
