TYSONS CORNER, VA—Negotiations to bring grocerWegmans here have broken off.

Wegmans had been talking with developer CitylinePartners to open a store on a site on Route 123.Donna P. Shafer, executive vice president atCityline, says the firm is no longer considering a Wegmans for itsScotts Run Station South project, according to theWashington Post.

The company will now fall back to its original plan for retail,a mix of restaurants and entertainment. “We're going full steamahead with our original plan which will have a very rich retailstreet with residential above,” Shafer said.
