MOUNT RAINIER, MD—The Redevelopment Authority of PrinceGeorge's County has selected The MenkitiGroup for a mixed-use development at the 3300 block ofRhode Island Avenue here.

The plan calls for a mix of commercial and residential space.The Menkiti Group is hoping to finalize a land dispositionagreement with the Redevelopment Authority and expects to beginconstruction on the $4-million project in mid-2015, according tothe Washington Business Journal.

"We're based in Brookland, we've been here for 10 years, but wehave been wanting to do something in Prince George's for a while,"Menkiti Group vice president of development MarkRengel says. "We're looking to have this project be one ofmany in the neighborhood."
