NORTHVALE, NJ—Saying its manufacturing plant here is outdated,officials with Gnutti Carlo USA are closing itsfactory here and relocating 86 jobs to Jacksonville, AL.


The valve and fuel injection device manufacturing firm acquiredWH Industries, a car parts maker in December 2012. The Northvaleand Jacksonville facilities were WH facilities, according to TheRecord.


Gnutti Carlo USA, the subsidiary of an Italian company, reportedthe closing to the New Jersey Department of Labor andWorkforce Development in compliance with the federal WARNAct.


Company spokesperson Jessie Bahrs says someworkers were moved south in July, and the remainder of theemployees at the Northvale plant will be moved by the first quarterof next year. See story in The Record.
