MIAMI-Carter W. Hopkins Jr., who comes from a family involved in Miami real estate development since the 1920s, is the new vice president of brokerage services in the Miami office of Trammell Crow Co.
MIAMI-The Tamarac, FL-based global distributor of aircraft materials, has contracted with Fort Lauderdale, FL-based Miller Construction Co. to build an expandable $3 million, 58,400-sf distribution and company headquarters complex in the Tamarac Commerce Park, 25 miles north of Downtown Miami.
ORLANDO-The 10-year contract brings the 17-year-old, 19-story, 700,000-sf Two Prudential Plaza in Downtown to 100% occupancy. The deal took eight months to do because the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers was scouting other sites.
ORLANDO-The locally based developer is expected to pay landowner Bonnet Creek Venture Ltd. at least $300,000 per acre ($6.89 per sf) or a total $13.8 million in a deal expected to close Oct. 1. The parties signed the contract yesterday.
MIAMI-Stiles Construction Co. of Fort Lauderdale, FL plans to break ground in October on the $3.1 million, 22,500-sf sales and service center on a two-acre site in the nine-building Center Port Industrial Park in Pompano Beach, FL. Completion is slated for August 2003.
MIAMI-The regional manager of the Encino, CA-based brokerage's six-year-old South Florida division in Fort Lauderdale, FL was the firm's regional manager of the year in 2001. M&M's gross revenue in the tri-county area has increased 40% annually.
MIAMI-One Miami Group has sold one-third of its prime nine-acre tract for $6.7 million per acre ($153 per sf)and has the remaining two-thirds under contract to another big-name developer.
ORLANDO-Siemens Westinghouse Power occupies the entire 72,000-sf, 14-year-old building developed by Denver-based Alliance Commercial Partners in the Quadrangle Business Park adjoining the University of Central Florida campus in east Orange County. Price: $7.18 million.
