ORLANDO-Little-known J&P LLC of Washington, DC and Tampa, FL can't find funding to close on a $24 million bankruptcy court deal for the 17-story, 408-unit, 11-year-old twin-building property at 6145 Carrier Drive in the city's main tourist area.

ORLANDO-The 16-screen, 3,800-seat, 75,000-sf complex will be built at a development cost of $4,211 per seat ($213 per sf) in the planned $150 million, 800,000-sf Altamonte Town Center in suburban Altamonte Springs. A ground-breaking date hasn't been set.

MIAMI-Senior vice presidents W. Edward Cox, Coty L. Fournier and Michele E. Snow were selected by company CEO Thomas J. Miller and president Harley W. Miller for their expertise in growing the 29-year-old general contracting firm in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

ORLANDO-The Minneapolis-based developer is constructing the three-story, 105,000-sf University Corporate Center Two in the Quadrangle Office Park in east Orlando, one of the area's strongest submarkets.

ORLANDO-The four-year-old Memphis, TN-based online timeshare/vacation resort booking service company nears its goal of 4,000 managed units after signing a three-year property management contract with Panama City, FL developer Rick Rushing for his 22-story, 193-unit Celadon Beach Condominium project, 250 miles northwest of Downtown Orlando.

ATLANTA-The six-story, 200,000-sf Downtown structure is being developed for $275 per sf by Atlanta Capital Courts Facilities LLC. Completion is scheduled for August 2003.

ATLANTA-McNeel Builders of Marietta, GA constructed the warehouse in Northpoint Business Park, Acworth, GA, for an estimated $40 per sf or $2.2 million, roughly the aggregate rent the Shakopee, MN-based tenant will be paying over 10 years.

ORLANDO-In an unusual move, the creditors' Orlando lawyer, Denise Dell, is asking U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Arthur B. Briskman to appoint a special examiner to audit the restaurant chain's financials.
