PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD-Development of Gaylord Entertainment's $560 million National Harbor hotel complex moves forward after coming to a Sept. 11-induced halt. Now the hotel, retail and convention center property is on track to debut in 2006.

DULLES, VA-The last of six flex structures in Cascades Business Center finds a buyer in a $1.3-million deal. The 14,000-sf building is 80% occupied by indoor rock climbing company Sport Rock Inc., which holds a long-term lease on the space.

BALTIMORE-Distribution facilities owner ProLogis seals the deal on 96,000 sf of space at two of its facilities. Greenmount Moving & Storage takes 55,000 sf at the Airport Commons Distribution Center, and logistics provider Service Express Inc. takes 40,000 at ProLogis Park I-95.

ASHBURN, VA-Moorefield Station moves closer to reality as developers plan to present their multi-million dollar mixed-use development proposal to the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors in December. Ultimately, the 600-acre project will yield 6,000 residences and 9.5 million sf of retail and office space.

WASHINGTON, DC METRO-New York's UrbanAmerica increases its presence in the Washington, DC region by 22,000 sf with the separate purchases of two shopping centers totaling $4 million. The properties are adjacent to larger UrbanAmerica-owned centers.

ROCKVILLE, MD-Sonic Automotive finds just what its looking for and pays $5 million for a 2.23-acre land parcel at 1125 Rockville Pike. The car retailer will redevelop the plot for the expansion of its Lexus of Rockville dealership, located at 15501 Frederick Rd.

NORFOLK, VA-Old Dominion University's Ted Constant Convocation Center-a $62-million, 220,000-sf sports and entertainment arena-marks its completion with an opening ceremony. The facility will serve as the centerpiece of a grander development, the $270-million, 75-acre University Village.

WASHINGTON, DC-Boston Properties takes a half-acre on Capitol Hill and makes plans to build a 170,000-sf office structure. Company officials say they are in the beginning stages of the project, which industry insiders speculate could cost around $50 million to develop.
