ONTARIO, CA-Western Realco, builder of some of the largest warehouses in the Inland Empire, will build industrial space for tenants in the 13,000-sf to 19,000-sf range. The 200,000-sf plan will fill the last remaining tract in the California Commerce Center.

BURBANK, CA-Crown Realty & Development acquires the 137,000-sf building and will market it to office users. Industry sources believe Warner Bros. got more than $9 million for the empty building.

CERRITOS, CA-Four firms sign in a series of moves and expansions, with the four deals totaling $9 million. In all cases, the signed papers were long-term contracts. The largest, 74,626 sf, was penned by Daiwa Corp.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA-Colliers Seeley International gets contract to set up an auction of 3,500 acres of the 4,500-acre former Marine Corps Air Station at El Toro, paving the way for future development.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA-Two Newport Beach companies team in a joint venture purchase of 15 properties, taking title to industrial, office, retail and acreage in the Greater Oxnard area as well as Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.

IRVINE, CA-The lawyers take 4,519 sf of office space formerly occupied by Software AG, a software supplier that was slated to be in the space until 2007. The closing price for the sublease space was right around the asking ticket of $1.60 per sf per month.

VALENCIA, CA-Publicly held A&B adds to its Southern California portfolio with the acquisition of a two-story, 51,061-sf building from developer Intertex. The brokers involved in the deal aren't talking price, but others are saying it went for about $5 million.

LOS ANGELES-State housing director Julie Bornstein joins the USC's Keston Infrastructure Institute, where Christian Redfearn will lead research. Bornstein's first mission will be to assemble an advisory board.
