GRAPEVINE, TX-A local developer will break ground in 90 days on a second building phase to the Southwest Office Park. The 10,000-sf office project was "sold" to the lender on the fact that it's two-thirds leased and its sister buildings are filled to the max.

FLOWER MOUND, TX-Granite Properties takes its first step to build an industrial portfolio in North Texas, buying airport-area acreage. Ground breaks in early 2003 on a 200,000-sf first phase to Lakeside Commerce Center in Flower Mound.

FORT WORTH-With a construction start looming, RadioShack backs a financing plan to pay cash rather than ink a synthetic lease for a 20-story headquarters project. RadioShack will be dedicating $100 million annually for 2003 and 2004.

DALLAS-Shareholders get until midnight Friday or an extra five trading days in the $61-million tender offer for common stock of Transcontinental Realty and Income Opportunity Realty. The merger is settlement for a class-action lawsuit.
