GARLAND, TX-Gilbert's Freight Outlet will shutter a Balch Springs location now that it's signed for a 16,289-sf spot in a Garland retail center. It's the off-price retailer's sole location outside its homeport of St. Joe, TX, where it also operates a collectors' museum.
AUSTIN-The popular home fashions and apparel retailer is shooting for simultaneous openings at three Austin-area locations. The projects should deliver in early August, says general contractor Hill & Wilkinson of Dallas. Two more are being built in El Paso.

DALLAS-In a hushed project, the Billingsley Co. has been working on its ninth building at International Business Park. The 103,000-sf office building delivers in September. Leases are close, but not sealed for this project and another 107,000 sf that will be ready in May.

AUSTIN-Janus Capital Corp. has effectively shut down its two-year-old call center in northwest Austin. The Staubach Co. is searching for tenants to fill an estimated 274,000 sf of remaining sublease space. Inovant is filling 45,000 sf and two deals for 40,000 sf are in the pipeline.
