HOUSTON-A 10-year tenant in East Houston stays put in 11,500 sf in the five-building Wallisville/610 Industrial Park while a newcomer signs for 9,664 sf in the Post Oak Business Center I in the northwest submarket.
HOUSTON-One tract goes to a bakery owner and the other to a salon operator. The abutting tracts represent the last commercially zoned land in the Memorial Northwest subdivision. Ground will break immediately on both projects, says the broker.

THE WOODLANDS, TX-International Commodities Export Corp. is relocating from Purchase, NY, to the Woodlands near Houston. The trader, planning a May move, signs a long-term lease for 10,051 sf in a 40%-occupied office building.
THE WOODLANDS, TX-GDR Financial Group buys out RTM Funding, but keeps the operation in the same office building, just on a different floor. The owner signs a medium-term lease for 4,485 sf in the Bank One Building.
HOUSTON-The long-awaited Main Street Square breaks ground this week with a carefully timed construction schedule so it can deliver one month before the light-rail system goes on line. The three-block plaza will feature two boarding stations.
HOUSTON-More jobs or higher interest rates will be needed to fill the 11,632 units now under construction citywide. The rising units are double last year's deliveries and 50% higher than 2001. The prediction is the 93% vacancy is sure to rise.
