SUNRISE, FL-The sale, at about $108,974 per unit, is one example of investor demand for luxury apartment communities in South Florida. Heather Glen 234 LLC bought the complex, consisting of 17 buildings with 282,048 sf of space, from J&P Construction.

CORAL SPRINGS-The division will manage third-party properties and assets for the company's industrial and commercial clients in the South Florida and Caribbean areas. Deborah A. Lerner has been chosen to head the division.

BOCA RATON-Andy Petry has been named senior vice president and director of leasing services in the company's office here, reuniting him with a former co-worker, Jonathan Kingsley. Previously, Petry was senior vice president of Trammell Crow Co.

ISLAMORADA, FL-Cheeca Holdings LLC entered into an investment syndicate to purchase the 203-room luxury resort here and plans a $10 million capital investment in the property. The seller was an affiliate of Olympus Real Estate Partners.

MIAMI-The industrial space is located in a 45,510-sf building in the Airport West submarket here. Rental rates in the building range from $12 to $15 per sf, making the seven-year deal worth an estimated $2.52 million-plus.

MIAMI-The high-rise condominium development, which is planned for two towers, 25 stories each, is expected to be completed in December 2004. This follows a recently completed transaction for a $41 million construction loan with Fremont Investment & Loan.

BOCA RATON, FL-The educational services provider and wholly owned subsidiary of The Washington Post Co. is leasing the space in a deal worth more than $1 million from Nortel Networks Inc., which is vacating its four locations in Boca Raton, FL.
