WOBURN, MA-ServiceMaster purchases an 8,000 sf industrial facility at Six Jefferson Ave. for $645,000 from the Bomak Corp. The deal typifies a recent trend in which users decide to purchase rather than lease their space.
WALTHAM, MA-Longview Place, the 348-unit luxury residential complex developed by the Boulder Co., held its topping-off ceremony. The three-building complex on Hope Avenue is adjacent to the new Sterling Medical Center and shares its 19-acre site with the center.
BROCKTON, MA-FedEx Ground Package Systems leases 41,000 sf at 1020 West Chestnut St. The company signed a three-year lease for the entire building which consists of 34,000 sf of warehouse/manufacturing space and 7,000 sf of adjoining office space.

NATICK, MA-The town approves General Growth Properties' $450 million plan to expand the Natick Mall into a two-million sf shopping center. The Chicago-based General Growth secured two anchor tenants for the 550,000-sf expansion--Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom.
BOSTON-The Boston Redevelopment Authority approves the development of a 68-unit mixed-income housing project at 700 Harrison Ave. The project will be built in an area that has seen a recent increase in luxury housing and is part of the city's effort to redevelop Harrison Avenue.
LITTLETON, MA-GFI Partners and Charlesbank Capital begin construction on Littleton Distribution Center, an 840,000-sf industrial park on Ayer Road. The speculative project is scheduled to be completed in October.
NEWTON, MA- HRPT Properties Trust closes on its acquisition of Hallwood Realty Partners LP. HRPT's purchase price for the Hallwood limited partnership units and general partnership interest was adjusted to $247 million, down from the $250-million price when the deal was announced in April.
