NEWTON, MA-HRPT Properties Trust purchases Dallas-based Hallwood Realty Partners, LP for approximately $250 million. Hallwood and its affiliates are merging with a subsidiary of HRPT, a locally based REIT, and will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the trust.
WOBURN, MA-Schenker USA, a Freeport, NY-based company that provides integrated logistics services, is leasing 15,266 sf at 20 Commerce Way. The deal represents a relocation of the company's regional facility.
SALEM, MA-Derby Lofts Condominiums gets a $10.5 million construction loan. The project is located in the in the Heritage Plaza East district of the city in the former Salem Laundry Building and will consist of 54 residential units and 12,000 sf of retail space.
