DUDLEY, MA-Water Street Mill Corp. acquires an industrial facility at 8 Mill St., the site of the former Stevens' Linen facility. The firm bought the building from Interface Fabrics Group, the parent company of Toltec Fabrics, for nearly $1.1 million.
CAMBRIDGE, MA-Patni Computer Systems leases 18,890 sf at One Broadway in a sublease deal from Millenium Pharmaceuticals. Patni is consolidating its area operations and is relocating its offices from 238 Main St., where it was leasing 5,500 sf, as well as from Boston and Woburn.
BOSTON-Construction begins on the Boston Harbor Residences, a $130-million 465-unit project, being developed by the Fallon Co. on South Boston's waterfront. It is the city's largest rental residential development built in over three decades.
BRIGHTON, MA-The public relations firm relocates from a 6,000-sf space at 214 Lincoln St. to 10,963 sf of first-class office space in Brighton Landing at 20 Guest St. The building is part of a 410,000-sf two building complex that is home to the New Balance world headquarters.
DEDHAM, MA-The Dedham Executive Center, an 180,000-sf, three-story office building, signs nine leases totaling over 41,600 sf of office space. The center is located at 980-990 Washington St. at the intersection of Routes 1 and 128.
BOSTON-The Archdiocese of Boston is selling Boston College part of its campus in Brighton in a deal that will ultimately cost $107 million. The sale is part of an effort to pay off the church's $85 million settlement it reached with victims of sexual abuse by clergy.
MARLBOROUGH, MA-EasyAsk Inc. leases 10,545 sf at 290 Donald J. Lynch Blvd. in the Solomon Pond Park, a 650,000-sf complex adjacent to the Solomon Pond Mall. The company is relocating from 119 Russell St. in Littleton to accommodate its growth.
LEOMINSTER, MA-Lock Drive Realty Trust purchases a 60,300-sf industrial warehouse building from Rocker Realty Trust for two million dollars. The single-story facility is located at 1776 Lock Dr. and has the potential for expansion of up to another 40,000 sf.
PLAINVILLE, MA-DSF Plainville sells Colonial Village at Plainville to an affiliate of Fairfield Residential for nearly $35.3 million. The Boston-based DSF acquired the 23-acre, 399-unit property nearly two years ago for $27 million.
ACTON, MA-The Maryland-based company renews its lease for 34,000 sf and adds an additional 8,000 sf to house the company's data networking group. The deal ensures that Ciena remains at 35 Nagog Park for the next five years.
