SAN DIEGO- Unionized employees of the Hotel Del Coronado have voted to ratify a new contract with Destination Hotels and Resorts, the management company which operates the hotel.

SAN DIEGO-Sundt Construction has finished an 87,000-sf office building and adjoining parking structure on El Camino Real. The project is valued at $10 million.

SAN DIEGO-The city has nearly completed the long-awaited $216 million expansion of the San Diego Convention Center. The 864,000-sf expansion just about doubles the size of the existing West Harbor Drive facility.

SAN DIEGO-The San Diego Center for Children in Kearny Mesa has completed construction of the first of three cottages for troubled children. Donations totaling $4.3 million have helped to finance the project.

SAN DIEGO-A maker of hard enclosures for submarines and ships has signed a six-year lease for 45,000 sf in a 66,400-sf, two-story building the Rancho Bernardo Corporate Center previously occupied by Sony and Motorola.

SAN DIEGO-A key city office that processes development applications and records will be closed Sept. 14 for consolidation of its database. The office keeps property records on the location of underground pipes, and easements.

SAN DIEGO-The Melvin D. Ricks Family Limited Partnership has purchased a multi-tenant office building in the San Bernardino County city of Rancho Cucamonga. The building was 100% leased at the time of sale.

SAN DIEGO-Sunterra Corp. has sold the 59-room Harbour Lights Resort here to American Property Management in a transaction valued at about $8.65 million.
