AUSTIN-San Antonio's Leddy/Nueces-Hill Hospitality has acquired a building site in the midst of three class A buildings, totaling 360,000 sf, in the 28-acre Braker Pointe. An early 2002 groundbreaking is being eyed for a 230-room Hilton Suites.

AUSTIN-An old building is getting a $4.5-million makeover that will dress up the heart of Austin's CBD with 22,500 sf of office and retail space, When the work's done, only the facade will be original, say Colliers Oxford Commercial, which is in charge.

ROUND ROCK, TX-It's been rumored for some time, but now the news is out: Krispy Kreme and Olive Garden will be setting up shop in La Frontera. The two popular eateries have secured adjacent retail pads in Round Rock's 825,000-sf La Frontera Village.

BASTROP, TX-Woodbine Development Corp. of Dallas is completing due diligence on a 635-acre tract most likely destined for a $125-million resort in Bastrop County. The project, which is set in a nature preserve, carries an Audubon Society seal.
