CA International, the international division of CA Ventures, reports it will invest $325 million to expand the firm's multifamily and student housing presence in the Mexico cities of Monterrey, Mexico City and Merida.

Cross Roads Plaza is anchored by a 70,818-square-foot ShopRite, which makes-up 71% of the property's gross leasing area and 58% of the gross income. The grocer's lease term runs through 2024.

The deal for the more than 650,000-square-foot complex on 70 acres is expected to close in the second half of this year.

The financing will facilitate the construction of a 1.2-million-square-foot mixed-use tower, part of a 1.9-million-square-foot development that will feature office, residential condominium and retail space.

Separately, JLL reported that global commercial transaction volumes reached an all-time high of $800 billion in 2019, increasing 4% year-over-year.
