Valley National announced on Feb. 13 it planned to engage in a sale/leaseback on a total of 29 properties that includes 28 branches and one corporate location for a total aggregate purchase price of approximately $107 million.

With these transactions, Colony adds 694,962 square feet to its industrial portfolio in two key major metro markets.

The wholesale club is now the anchor tenant of the major mixed-use development at Bayonne's Military Ocean Terminal.

The organization plans to present their proposal to political leaders in Washington, DC next week.

“We continue to see a flood of investors exploring alternative industrial niches such as truck terminals, cold storage and flexier property types,” says HFF's Marc Duval.

The property was originally built by James E. Hanson, NAI Hanson's founder. The real estate company relocated its own headquarters there after renovating the building last year.

The BP Lubricants USA building is fully occupied by BP's premium brand, Castrol Oil, which uses the property as its corporate headquarters.
