iStar says it has already invested $300 million and has acquired 35 acres of land in Asbury Park in what has become its chief executive officer Jay Sugarman's 10-year, multibillion-dollar redevelopment plan for the Asbury Park boardwalk area.

The markets in which the portfolio assets are located – Atlanta, Orlando, Charleston, Raleigh and Charlotte – are all high population growth markets.

Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus reported on Wednesday evening that Great Wolf Resorts, Inc. of Madison, WI is considering building a major indoor water park resort in southern Orange County.

The Statler is now a 159-room Hilton Curio Collection Hotel featuring a 14,000-square-foot ballroom with 10,000 square feet of meeting space, six restaurant venues and two roof pool decks.

In addition to Abrams, the group now joining Compass includes brokers Lisa Rosenthal, Rebecca Olshan, Herman Glaswand, Curtis Woodside and Alexander Vellios.

North Ranch Gateway was originally built in 1989 and recently underwent significant renovations, according to the Sterling Organization. The property was purchased on behalf of Sterling Organization's recently launched institutional fund, Sterling Value Add Partners III, LP.

The deal for the 96-room hotel calculated out to approximately $217,000 per room and increases Chatham's presence in this suburb of Charleston.

The property formerly served as an R&D and manufacturing hub for Raytheon, but has been transformed into a modern multi-tenant campus via substantial capital investment throughout the past 10 years.
