CHATSWORTH, CA-Plastics manufacturer Vast Resources Inc. acquires the 154,000-sf industrial property as a new corporate headquarters and manufacturing plant that will consolidate operations from five locations. Vast Resources plans to occupy the facility in March.

HOUSTON-Emser Tile of Los Angeles makes a second expansion move in two years, signing for a 112,000-sf warehouse owned by Chicago-based First Industrial Realty Trust. The commercial tile supplier more than doubles its warehouse space with the new deal.

EASTERN ICELAND-While the size of the facility has yet to be determined, ground will be broken in two years and production is slated to begin at the facility in 2007. The project is part of a government plan to improve the country's living standard.

PHOENIX-Hedlund Fabrics closes its doors after three decades, sparking a sale to an area couple tempted by the availability of the downtown location. The buyer will use 1710 E. Washington St. as a storage hub for convention and trade exhibits.
