PHILADELPHIA-An affiliate of Mt. Laurel, NJ-based Freedman & Co. buys 438,500-sf Colonial Commons for approximately $28 million. The 11-year-old center is 74% leased and has a vacant, 98,100-sf former Montgomery Ward store. Current tenants include Blockbuster Video, AMC Theaters, and Giant Foods.

NEW YORK CITY-The Witkoff Group sells the legendary art deco tower for $265 million and gets another $90 million for 15 contiguous floors at 125 Broad St. Total square footage exceeds 1.5 million sf.

WOODLAND HILLS, CA-Wyndham International Inc. of Dallas sells the 463-room hotel to Warner Center Hotel Partners IV, a newly formed entity created by Westbrook Real Estate Fund IV. The hotel last sold in December 1995 for $50.85 million.

FOXBOROUGH-The rezoning of the former Foxborough State Hospital site to mixed-use status is approved. The state sold 55 acres of the property to the town for public use and the plan for the remaining 95 acres is a 203-unit residential complex as well as office and retail space.
