Cheli's Chili Bar to Heat Up Dearborn Restaurant Scene

DETROIT-Two sales, one office and one retail, included the work and dreams of one of the champion Detroit Red Wing hockey players. Signature Associates-ONCOR International negotiated the sale of the 7,077-sf former Topper/Tony K’s Restaurant located at the northwest corner of Michigan Avenue and Oakwood in Dearborn, to Chris Chelios, a Wings defenseman.

Dean Properties, LLC purchased the property for the operation of Cheli’s Chili Bar & Restaurant, which will have Chelios as a proprietor. Purchase price was not disclosed. Bruce Baja of Signature Associates brokered the deal.

In addition, Marcus & Millichap of Southfield arranged the sale of Oxford Park Towers, a 214-unit affordable multi-housing community at 2345 Oxford St. in Berkley, according to Steve Chaben, VP/regional manager.

The property sold to Oxford Park Towers of Berkley LLC for an undisclosed price. The seller, Oxford Park Towers, LDHA (Slavik Co., managing partner), had owned the property since 1974. Paul Davis and Steven Weinstock represented both parties in the transaction.
