ROCHELLE PARK, NJ-GHP Office Realty LLC is reporting leasing activity involving nearly 58% of its class A 218 Route 17 North office building here. The activity at the five-story asset involves a combination of renewals and new leases.

In the largest deal, Watson Wyatt & Co., a worldwide human resources consulting firm, has signed a renewal and expansion for more than 21,000 sf. A continuing long-term tenant at the site, Watson & Wyatt was represented by Michael Christian of Equis Corp., and the owner was represented in-house. Terms were not released.

Other renewals include Florio Perrucci Steinhardt & Fader, a multi-office law firm headed by former New Jersey Gov. Jim Florio, which has expanded to more than 5,600 sf. The firm, which specializes in banking and commercial lending, as well as construction and public contracting, was represented in-house by Paul Sangillo. GHP was also represented in-house, by Jamie Schwartz.

Also renewing was Servicio UniTeller Inc., a worldwide money transmitter, which re-signed for 15,000 sf for six years in a deal with an aggregate value of more than $2 million. The tenant was represented by Mark Siegler of Colliers Houston & Co., and GHP was again represented in-house.

New deals include long-term leases with Divagno International Cardiology Inc. for 5,200 sf, represented by William Hassan of CBRE; Omni Eye Services, represented by Michael Staskiewicz of the Schultz Org., which took 6,000 sf; and Phoenix Healthcare Inc., represented by Frank Recine and Blake Goodman of Newmark Knight Frank, which took 2,300 sf. Terms were not released.

“The past year saw continued strong leasing at 218 Route 17 North,” says GHP’s Schwartz, who represented his firm in the three new signings. “We are committed to this market and are working to maintain our strong activity.”
