ORLANDO-Village Center Community Development District of Lady Lake, FL, largely a developer-influenced entity, wants to purchase the privately held water and wastewater facilities from the developer for use at one of the fastest growing communities in the United States, 60 miles northwest of Downtown Orlando. The problem: The community's debt load would rise to $550 million.
ORLANDO-In one of the highest per-sf-price retail deals of the year, the Oak Brook, IL-based company paid Suncor of Lake Mary Ltd. $12.5 million for the one-year-old, 74,875-sf, 100%-leased property in suburban Lake Mary, FL.

ORLANDO-Landesbank Sachsen of Dusseldorf paid the Raleigh, NC-based developer $38.5 million for the seven-story, 205,280-sf, 95%-leased property in the Rocky Point submarket of Tampa, FL, 80 miles west of Downtown Orlando. It's one of the largest office deals this year in Central Florida.
ORLANDO-The Oak Brook, IL-based REIT wouldn't disclose the purchase price to GlobeSt.com in the July 8 acquisition but Orange County real estate records now show Building 200 valued at $27.18 million; Building 210 at $11.22 million; and Building 220 at $31.66 million.
ORLANDO-Westgate Resorts, the timeshare development arm of entrepreneur David A. Siegel's Central Florida Investments Inc., paid an estimated $110,000 per unit for the 25-year-old, 46-unit property near the center of Miami Beach at 3611 Collins Ave., area brokers tell GlobeSt.com on condition of anonymity.
ORLANDO-The 25-year-old private, not-for-profit Economic Development Commission of Mid-Florida Inc., with a budget of $4.5 million, has handed pink slips to Kathy Ramsberger, vice president/television and digital media for the past 11 years; Pat Werner, corporate business development director for the past 16 years; and four other staffers.
ATLANTA-The New York-based REIT is adding a class A, 169,000-sf office facility in Fort Mill, SC to its portfolio for $17.9 million. When completed later this month, the property will be net-leased to San Francisco-based Wells Fargo Home Mortgage on an 11-year lease that will generate a total rent of $2.1 million through January 2013.
ORLANDO-Osceola County commissioners have ended a controversial development issue by approving 500 additional rooms for a total 1,539 rooms in the 10-year-old, northern Osceola County town Disney built 10 years ago, 20 miles south of Downtown Orlando.
